Toppala smoke sauna

Experience a traditional Central Finnish smoke sauna experience in a peaceful setting next to a nature reserve in Petäjävesi. Built in 1996, the smoke sauna offers gentle and soft baths that are perfect for relaxation - whether it's a birthday party, a night out with friends or a moment of pampering for your own well-being. There is room for around six people on the sauna tables at a time, and the cosy fireplace room attached to the sauna can accommodate around ten people.

The sauna is heated in a cauldron and the water is drawn from the lake. Washing is done in the sauna. The fireplace room serves as a dressing room.

The sauna experience can be complemented by a warm bubble, where relaxing under the stars makes for a particularly atmospheric evening. The sauna also offers the possibility to enjoy small services such as cold drinks and snacks to crown a peaceful evening. A variety of sauna treatments are also available - for example, a traditional sling adds a genuine Finnish touch to the experience.

The barbecue hut next to the sauna can be rented either together with the sauna or separately. The grill house offers a comfortable space for socialising and the opportunity to prepare food in a cosy atmosphere by an open fire.

This product is best suited for groups of 6-15 people.
Suitable for everyone from children to the elderly, but not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Duration

Please allow at least 2-4 hours for sauna and dining/coffee at home.

Accessibility/location

The sauna is accessible by car. The distance to the nearest shop is 1,5 km and to the nearest towns of Keuruu and Jyväskylä 28 km and 37 km respectively.
